ANIMATION + VISUAL EFFECTS
JOHNNIE WALKER : Drawing on visual references including vintage museum dioramas and the pioneering stop-motion of Ray Harryhausen, Mise en Scene co-founder Brent Bonacorso creates a rousing spec spot for Johnnie Walker.
Brent Bonacorso: “At Mise en Scene, we’re always testing ideas and innovations involving different ways to tell stories. This latest film began with experiments in creating miniature imagery. As a fan of miniatures and dioramas since childhood, I thought it was such a fantastic concept and immediately a story started to take shape. Johnnie Walker: Civilization is a celebration of that particular aesthetic, created in a medium that was unfathomable just a few years ago, and which will no doubt define every aspect of filmmaking in the very near future.”

SOMNIUM is an exploration of fashion design set within a surreal world that references European filmmmaking of the 1970’s, vintage fashion photography, experimental theatre, and the half-remembered fragments of dreams as they fade in the morning light.
All imagery and animation / motion created entirely with AI.
XIAOMI : TOGETHER is an interesting hybrid of live-action and AI imagery. All of the actors were shot practically on a seamless white stage by Mise founder Brent Bonacorso, while all of the visual effects around them were created by Mise en Scene entirely using AI technology.
